The nurse in me

Well the nurse in me won over the mom in me today.....I decided to check my cervix. LOL Well oddly enough its soft already....AND 2 cm dilated! I guess I should be happy I didn't really feel that happening (hopefully that is a good sign of how my labor will go). I kind of like being about to check it myself but I can SO see how women get caught up in the numbers game. I KNOW this is only showing my body NOW and NO indication of the future---but I will not lie---its kind of cool to know its started some already and knowing my body is doing something.

Super Bren said...: The nurse in me never even considered trying to do that! I suppose partly from lack of experience and partly from not thinking I would be able to complete that acrobatic stunt and maybe a little bit b/c I was somewhat ignoring the fact that labor was approaching (with, job, new house, moving and Jason) Also, I really left her alone for the most part as far as the pushing around and stuff.
