Well this is the beginning of trying to conceive (TTC) cycle! I am so excited and nervous all at the same time! 80% of women under the age of 30 yrs old will conceive within the first 6 months, that rate jumps down to 63% for women age 30-34yrs old, and then again falls to 47% at 35yrs +. This is one reason I am nervous-I did wait awhile to start trying to have a family. Most of the time I am ok with that-I feel that I have done a ton with my life. But I know if for some reason we have problems I will blame myself, or even possible Troy for thinking we should wait till now. Lets hope I am pregnant in the first 6 months and then I will not have to worry about that! I am nervous also because as most of you know-I value my sleep, and I know children don't tend to value that as much as me. LOL I am also a LITTLE nervous about the traveling while pregnant/where the baby will be born and traveling with children. This is only a little bit of me, but when you get negative comments about it- those tend to stick with you.

Now for the exciting stuff....well I would be pregnant! I have seen my friends have babies for over 12 yrs now, I was so jealous every time one of them told me about it. I have been in the delivery room with them, lived with them to help them out, watched their children grow and grow. So I think I have a wonderful support system at this point-plus think of all the hand-me-downs! I have dreamed about being pregnant and having a baby for about half my life! And its even more exciting that I have such a wonderful husband to experience this with. Troy is going to be such a wonderful dad! I can't wait to breastfeed, and wear my baby in a sling, I can't wait till they learn to walk and talk (hopefully not as much as my side of the family LOL). I can't wait for boy scouts/girl scouts/sports/etc. I could wait for the teenage years but hopefully they will take more after Troy on those!

If we were to get pregnant on our first cycle (cross your fingers!) our estimated due date (EDD) would be March 3, 2009. I really would love to have a March/April baby. It would be perfect timing. If we do not get pregnant those first two months and we would hold off on the third month-skip TTC in August. Because if we got pregnant in August that would put our EDD at the beginning of May. And my oh so cool brother-in-law Jeremy is getting married to an AWESOME women named Katie about then, and I wouldn't miss that for the world! So please send me lots of baby dust as we start this journey. If you want to make it blue baby dust that would be even sweeter!
